Throes how does taste grow stale in one's mouth? how does a scent lose its power? how does one forcefully forget? for i have memories of you that keep walking all over me even when i am sleep even when i am lost in a dizzying disarray and the stars are no longer in their constellations i remember you and you on my lips and i find you, among all things, in streets we walked but could not remember, i see you, in strangers who have your eyes, your laugh, or hair, i feel you in things we saw and imagined, and i remember you, just by losing sleep, in the dark that once held us there

I no longer recognize this body. I no longer remember when I last had a good, probing look - like a pulling, like a tugging of waves that starts with the hand and ends with the heart. I've forgotten the atlases of this body where or when it last felt good, felt giddy or felt achingly happy. The landmarks have become deserts caving in on itself. I no longer remember this body and sadly, frighteningly I trace my steps back, into a seemingly foreign land swathed in dark landscapes that the night claimed - not as mysteries not as legends but as cloaks you shlied unused furniture with that grows stale.

they want us to be the people walking down the street walking towards our own corners where laundry lines are territories and the lights post stands in akimbo they want us to go scurrying through elevators, down subways, peering left and right as we cross the street from the gutter they want us to run the wheels and scour the earth, the little earth of mazes and pathways the ins and outs of pipes and traps, we scurry like rodents and worse, our tail between our knees

When god pisses on you, do not look for shelter. Do not hide in the eaves of abandoned buildings and closed museums among shadows. Do not weep. Do not utter disdainly - we are doomed. our sins will be the end of us. Do not turn to scorn nor to regrets. But laugh. Laugh till blood flows from your eyes and you deafen the thunder with your heehah's. Laugh till your body is screaming and tearing itself apart. Laugh from the pit of your bowels, from the calluses of your foot. Laugh till your hair touches your face like paper cuts. Laugh until the pavement is soggy and the air is filled with fog. Laugh, because when god takes a leak, he is laughin

we meet halfway between pauses and short breaths hoping to bridge the glances we silently send each other and cover the distance measured by lines and unrelenting numbers dividing us by infinity and we try, by the littlest step, through even one step, to wade in and cross the infinite deserts lying between our feet and like spiders, we try to tap tap tap the songs through our feet inching ourselves closer to each others' webs, hoping, we don't get eaten by our mates

we love like the rain we love like the flood; we love like an ocean, but more so, we love like a dam

we tug with our tongues and spear with our eyes, but the skin betrays us all in one blush

you come in with the tide by the ear of the winds you roll with the foam and tumble unto the shores sifting you through the pebbles and abandoned shells, glass and polished flat stones you come in with the tide in a surge bouncing playfully on the waves catching and releasing pushing you with their hearts pulling you in by the hand and you come in with the tide and you also leave, taking in my fingerprints and my ashes as if nothing was there

there are games we play, you and me chasing moons chasing shadows chasing a myriad number of things feathers, flying fish, balloons, tumbleweeds and we run, like the world's a whole backyard of Sunday afternoons and summer suns we chase away the traffic on the freeways of our minds and retrieve the streets for hopscotch and lemonade stands and we fling ourselves closer daisy chain to each others' orbits round and round we swirl, we stumble, we collide full of grace, full of light.
